About the event
"I have recently been spending some spare time working with people with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. As a musician, I have been playing music in a therapeutic capacity to engage and inspire people suffering with this disease…to help them re-live some deeply personal memories and bring some joy into their lives.
I now dedicate some time every week to support a small locally based charity, ‘Herts Musical Memories’, playing to a group of people who really appreciate music.
Singing and music is really important for people with Dementia, and given my recent experience, I am hosting a fundraising event for Herts Musical Memories at:
‘The Garden Rooms’ in Market Street, Watford on 14th December, from 7pm.
The night will be a celebration of music, showcasing several highly talented local artists who will each play a short set, and feature a range of covers and original music to help raise funds for this small, but essential charity.
The performers, who have kindly donated their time for this event, will be announced shortly.
